Should i pretend like i don't know?

on my birthday i'm going to a Taylor Swift.(knew this already) While my sister and dad were on vacation, they ran into someone my dad knew and said they knew someone working with Taylor while she was on the tour and would get me backstage passes to meet her. Thing is I'm not supposed to know the second part. should i pretend like i don't know?
