What should I do in this situation?

So there's a friend I've been texting since the end of the school year and so far this summer. We clarified to each other how we both liked each other and how we should possibly get together (as in a relationship). Everything was good until yesterday, when he told me he had a girlfriend (he's at a summer camp). He told me all about how he asked her out and apparently, theyhad problems and broke up yesterday. He told me this whole story very casually, which I thought was weird since he knows I like him and I know he likes (or now liked) me. So what should I do? Should I ignore him? I don't want to pretend everythings okay when it's not. Do I have the right to feel betrayed?
