Hair probs...plz help me...!!?

my hair was dream soft and thick ....but now..... i dont know wats wrong...its thick....but i hv split ends wich also made my hair a lil rough....i want to get rid of split ends without cutting my hair and i want 2 make it smooth and soft...plz help me....suggest some good shampoos and conditioners also ....
