Can anyone help I spilt a full glass of diet coke on my keyboard, now it wont work?

All the I have taken apart have a membrane under the keys that fits round the posts the keys sit in to stop spills from going into the works. You can pop the keys off and push them back on again. So that and lay each key out on a table in the correct order so they go back right. when they are all off you can clean the membrane. It may even remove to you can wash and dry it but I have never gone that far. Once this is done push the keys back one by one cleaning each one as you do. Fiddly job but not difficult
